Mostly good adaptation of Agatha Christie's book, certainly much superior to the poor films from the 1940s and 1960s. There is a strong cast and excellent production design, with suitably brooding settings. Some people have complained that although set in 1939 there is updating in terms of morals, behaviour etc; but I doubt whether that is actually the case. And the adaptation gains immensely by having the proper ending as in the book. ( )
