Description

Critically acclaimed author Tamera Alexander pens a compelling tale of two conflicted travelers who forge an unlikely bond. Pursued by a Texas bounty hunter, Matthew returns to Fountain Creek, Colorado, to apologize to his brother for insulting his wife Annabelle and to share his Idaho homestead. Learning that his brother has left already, he answers an ad for someone to guide a widow to Idaho. But he's shocked to see the widow is Annabelle-a woman whose sordid past repulses him.

This book is completely about forgiveness. It is a sequel, but is about a completely different character and could stand on it's own. Everyone has a past, but more importantly everyone has a future. Here the author has made two very different people come to an understanding of each and it is beautiful to see God working in people's hearts and souls. I strongly recommend this book to anyone in particular, but especially to someone who is holding a grudge that they just cannot let go of, either to someone else, or more importantly to themselves. I know I can find a way to relate. I'm sure you can too.

This was a great book about how our sins are just as wrong as others and how we must forgive them as they are forgiven. It's also about taking the time to see if God has made a change in a person's character.
I only read this book because the main characters were enjoyable in Rekindled - but they turned into total drips for this book. And I think the author forgot about a climax altogether.
I can not believe it, but this book is even better then the first. I hope to hear more of Annabelle and Matthew in book 3.

I cried so hard that I couldn't breath and that was just from the prologue. To have so may feelings for characters that I don't even know is amazing.

I will be checking the authors website daily in anticipation for more on book 3 and anything else she writes. Highly recommended!!
Annabelle Grayson is newly widowed and longs for a second chance. But how will she find it where everybody knows her sordid history? when she advertises for an escort to Idaho, Matthew Taylor--eager to escape his own past--applies. Can they make a new start together?
This one is much better than the first one, at least the characters aren't nearly so annoying!
