by Stephen Dunn

Description

"Dunn's new poems are driven by the same tireless force that made his New and Selected Poems (1994) so powerful, but there is a new tone here, a deepening of his recognition of life's perversities."--Booklist.

I was initially introduced to Stephen Dunn's work in a wonderful poetry anthology called Staying Alive. LOOSESTRIFE is my first collection of poetry by him and I highly recommend it! Dunn has a knack of making the most ordinary events profound because he understands the human heart. It's rare to find many favorites in a single volume, but that's the case here. Dunn's words ring true for me and even in ambiguity, his poems resonate.
