Believe it or not, this was my "beach read" for the summer. Lying on the dock reading this and watching the ocean waves, I was able to visualize the concepts of particle physics thanks to this book.
More difficult than many of the other popular expositions of the Standard Model (quarks, leptons, bosons). As elusive as ever, to me at least, is a completely understandable account of such aspects of quantum field theory as the gauge principle and the role of group-theoretic rotations in multiple complex dimensions.
