Soulbound

Book #1 in A Return of the Elves series, I love this book. I would say that my favorite part is the soul bond between Kai and Arlyn, but really the whole story is my favorite. Arlyn finding her father and him accepting her into the family was heartwarming. The introduction of Kai and Arlyn's bond is so sweet in this first book. I love how it focuses on their complicated feelings rather than just immediately jumping into smut. There is no smut to be found here, but the level of love and adoration that can be found throughout the book definitely pulls at my heart. I also enjoy the drama that ensues from the political side of things. War on the rise? Maybe. Future king who is a Seer? Really cool. Southbound by Bethany Adams and narrated by Gabrielle Dr Cuir and Stefan Rudnicki is a terrific fantasy novel that grabbed me right away. I didn't know what the book was about when I started it and was pleasantly surprised. I adore the main characters and found the plot intriguing. I am not much for romance but there is just enough in here to make it interesting and entertaining. I definitely want to continue this series!
The narration switches back and forth between the two main characters and both do a great job.
