I truly enjoyed this box set. The stories were quite enjoyable. I enjoyed The journey of the characters. Each of the women suffered hurt in unforgivable ways and made silly decisions but found true happiness! ( )

Three books in one - but a) they're very much of a kind, and b) they interweave in time. The bad parts: the characters are rather stereotyped (males are overprotective, unless they're abusers; females are independent but love being dominated. Boring). And the sex is considerably too explicit for my taste. I like to know what they're doing and feeling, but I _don't_ need to know the exact angle of entry... That aside - those stereotypical characters each have a solid set of motivations, and act in accordance with them - no author fiat to advance the plot. The descriptions and dialog are nicely done. The timeline interweave (events in the middle of the first book are the beginning of the second; the second similarly leads straight to the third) is well-handled, though I'm glad I did read it as an omnibus - it might have been confusing with more time between the books. There are a few missing or wrong words - the editor got too caught up in the story and missed that that wasn't the right word there - but not enough to derail the story, even for me (and I'm pretty sensitive to grammar/editing errors). It's a quick read - all three books in two days, for me - and enjoyable. Not wonderful, but definitely readable. ( )
