Spoilers ahoy! Ye be warned...
Scattered thoughts:
●The story was somewhat predictable because once you find out Joel once had a brother, you can easily guess the relationship of the other woman.
●Something happened in Joel's past made him believe he doesn't deserve love and happiness, which was why he won't commit to Lindsay. This conflict could have been avoided if he didn't sleep around so much.
●Speaking of sleeping around, we meet two characters in the story whom have had an affair with Joel the past. Ick! They're both models, btw. Does Joel, a photographer, make a habit of sleeping with people he works with? And an 18-year-old model when he was 25! Talk about taking advantage of your position, although that's not how it's show more portrayed in the book. Still squeeks me though.
●Side characters find love, and really, no one remarks about the 17-year age difference? show less

She began writing while she was working in the computer department of a stationary company.
