This was an enjoyable book to read right up till the ending - which ruined the whole book for me. It wasn't perfect, the character of Jerry (Geraldine) felt a bit tacked on, but it wasn't that annoying.

As for the story, I enjoyed learning about London's Guilds, and who they worked. It also brought in a bit of history about the arts, specifically the painter Waterhouse, and the Musicals of Gilbert and Sullivan.

But that ending, totally ruined the book. It made no sense and I kind of wanted the throw the book against the wall, because the lead up to the ending was so well done. ( )
