Come From Away: Original 2017 Broadway Cast Recording

I first heard about this musical on the Tony Award show. I saw the cast perform Welcome to the Rock. I had read The Day the World Came to Town: 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland, so I knew some of the story. I had to own the music.

I fell in love with the music. As I listened to the music, I fell in love with the people. I rooted for Nick and Diane. I hoped Hannah would be reunited with her son. Beverley's story was so powerful and gut-wrenching. My favorite songs are Welcome to the Rock, Heave Away, Screech In, Me and the Sky, and Something's Missing (because it resonated with me).

You could easily get this as a digital download without missing much. The booklet with the CD has some background information, but almost no pictures and no show more lyrics.

Anyone who would like to know more about Gander's part in Operation Yellow Ribbon would probably enjoy this musical. show less
