This is a Ball

In this topsy turvy book, the narrator states things that are blatantly false. For example, the cover of the book features the title This Is a Ball while directing an arrow toward a cube. Other mix-ups include a "dog" that is actually an elephant, a "beach" that is a city skyline, and a "bicycle" that is a car. The 'story' moves forward as multiple items combine together to create increasingly absurd scenarios. The illustrations are pretty basic, but that's fine for this type of book. I can very easily see this book being a hit with kids in elementary school as a read-aloud.

I read this book for storytime and it was a frickin' delight. The kids had a blast telling me I was totally wrong.

My class loved this book! I got the most interaction I have ever gotten from them this year! I absolutely recommend this and any of the others in this collection!

This has a similar vibe to Novak's Book Without Pictures.
