One of my favorites in this series so far.
Ellen falls for Rob - a summer boy who is working for her mother's inn on the island for the summer. Rob falls for her too. She almost drowns and needs to come to terms with Rob leaving on Labor Day and trust that he will come back. ( )

Epigraph
Dedication
First words
It was June fifteenth, and summer was beginning on Martha's Vineyard, one of the resort islands off the coast of Massachusetts.
Quotations
She wanted to say she was sorry to Rob for being hurt, angry and jealous. She wanted to explain why she had gone off without him, whey....oh, she didn't know. Sometimes her mind just seemed to be out of control these days. She felt that she didn't deserve Rob, and was about to say so, when he reached out and took her hand. She looked at him, searching his face for a clue to his feelings about her. She met a face that told her it didn't matter if she deserved him or not. He was hers, if only for a brief, sweet summer.
