Charlie Monk is the ultimate superhero – he has no fear; he has no conscience; and he has no memory of his past. Dr Susan Flemyng is an expert in memory. She can repair damaged memories or create new ones. So why has she planted a memory of herself into Charlie’s head?

There is a good story in here trying to get out – but it doesn’t quite make it.

The author doesn’t seem to be able to make up his mind whether he’s writing a straight sci-fi novel or a TV movie. It doesn’t work on either level for me.
Hmmm, what a strange book. It kept me being tossed and turned with all the twidt an plot turns. At the half way point I thought I had figured it out, but apparently I did lose track somewhere, because I'm totally confused now at the end of the book.
Scary matter, whether I follow the book's plot or not.

Another wow read from David Ambrose, where he gets his inspiration from is beyond me, although I am not complaining, this book was just wonderful, it had me intrigued the whole way through..
