This was another GREAT play by Sartre. The plot starts simple and starts picking up intensity and meaning until we reach pincer points that make us shudder, feel, and question. Everything is perfect here: the dialogue, the characters, the setting. They are all wholly imbued with meaning. When we reach the climax, we are surprised and, with the denouement, we are shocked. Sartre plays a perfect hand here. This play could not have possibly been better. ( )
