About meValeriya Ilyinichina Novodvorskaya (Валерия Ильинична Новодворская), born on May 17, 1950, was a Soviet dissident and liberal Russian politician and journalist. She died on July 12, 2014.

About my libraryOn July 14, 2014, the Russian newspaper Argumenty i Fakty (Аргументы и факты) published a list of books that Valeriya Novodvorskaya had recommended to others as her favorites and a foundational reading list for anyone who wished to consider themselves educated. All entered works include the list number in the comment section. Under some authors, Novodvorskaya simply wrote "all" ("все"). For those entries, the author has been marked as a "favorite author." The original article and accompanying list can be viewed here.
