Yumi and Grandma both decide they absolutely must see each other, and set out for each other's houses, crossing in the middle. When they realize their mistake, they each return to their own homes, crossing paths again! At last, they set out on scooter (Yumi) and motorbike (Grandma) and meet in the middle under a tree.

A great book for storytime: the characters have simple, understandable goals, they use multiple forms of transportation (trucks, buses, trains, taxis), and there's humor and a happy ending.

The back-and-forth journeys and the trim size remind me of Rita & Ralph's Rotten Day. ( )

This is so clever. When sharing this with preschoolers, it's fun to talk about the different meanings of the word "miss." When we miss someone, we want to see them. But sometimes when you try to see someone you miss them! ( )

A book about a young girl who goes to visit her grandma independently using multiple forms of transportation. ( )

I really liked this book as it was simple but still very clear and engaging. The characters were developed enough for you to know how much they cared for each other with minimal wording. The illustrations are what really pulled the book together. ( )

A very simple, sweet, and adorable story about the relationship between a grandmother and granddaughter. The illustrations match this cuteness. ( )
