Lily goes with a handful of other 8th grade students to Paris, chaperoned by their large, bellowing French teacher. Her ultra-responsible, aspiring CEO friend Charlotte, and her new-age hippie friend, Bonnie are among the travelers. Lily plans to notice everything about Paris to put in her "mental pool" so she can write the great Parisian novel, but she is so pathetically irresponsible that she doesn't even know what the group is doing day to day, totally relying on Charlotte to do it all for her. There are some truly funny moments, and Lily does (one hopes) learn a lesson or two on this trip.
Pretty light fare. If you read either of the other Lily B. books and liked them, you will like this one too. If you didn't like them, then skip this one. ( )
