This was a quick, fun read. I liked the take on magic, law, and order. Willow McCray, a witch and felon, works with Agent Alex Denopoulos to use her power for good and catch a killer. ( )

Midnight Desire by Shari Nichols is the first in the Ravens Hollow Coven series. The main character is Willow McCray, a witch who uses her magic to dispense justice swiftly until she meets Magickal Bureau of Investigations Agent, Alex Denopoulos. Threatened with Hellios, the mage prison for those who have broken the Wiccan creed.
I enjoyed the fast pace, there was a good balance of chemistry between the two characters and exhilarating twists and turns action to keep the plot flowing. The author has created an intriguing supernatural world, I especially loved the paranormal law enforcement agency. I love book with cop paranormal aspects so this book hit the spot for me. Can't wait to read more books in the series. ( )

This is the story of a witch named Willow and Alex who works for the Magickal Bureau of Investigations. A group of humans and demons who monitor and police the magical portion of society. This story takes place in a world where magic users, demons and humans all coexist. Willow is looking for a missing friend who she believes is in trouble and she herself is in trouble for leaving her work from a very bad demon/organization. Alex is investigating problems in that area. When they mean sparks and trouble ensue. Definitely not a book for youth with the explicit writing of Willow and Alex's sexual encounters. But this is a good story. ( )

This was a pretty good story, an easy read. The story kept me engaged but was a little to predictable. however, I would read more from this author. ( )
