I now have a daughter attending university in the UK, so this comic feels more relevant than ever. Susan, Daisy and Esther are growing up and into themselves more than ever. They are young enough still to get themselves into scrapes (confrontations with exes, unscrupulous bosses, inappropriate crushes), but old enough to get themselves out—with the help of their faithful crew, of course. I suddenly found myself wondering if Giant Days will end with the girls’ third and final year of school, and I feel a little sad at the thought! But I will enjoy it while it lasts. ( ) The girls attend a Halloween party where Daisy encounters her ex, Ingrid. Esther continues to flounder in her love life. Susan and McGraw continue to grow in their relationship. In a non-numbered issue included in this volume, Ed goes to Australia to meet his girlfriend's family over the Christmas holidays. I swear every volume of this series could just have a chef's kiss as it's review. Senior year and suddenly we're zipping from Halloween through Christmas and Valentine's Day to spring break. Where'd the time go? It feels a bit like it is being frittered away, but this outing is still an enjoyable time spent with familiar and fun characters.
