This is a good solid overview of the fundamentals of poetry. It is designed for the middle years and is from a Christian publisher so it included a fair of amount of biblical content. I found most of the spiritual content easy to pass over. I have recently found the MCTLA poetry series which is entirely secular, but my teens like the clean look of this book.
A must have companion for my link text">The Grammar of Poetry.
