Once again, the titular Trees remain firmly in the background, yet exert their influence on all those around them. Once again, Warren Ellis presents a story that can be taken simply as a murder to be solved, or as a bigger statement on the passage of time and memory.

Once again, Ellis impresses the hell out of me. ( )
