( ) And so we say farewell to Daisy, Susan and Esther as they conclude their Giant Days. Esther is living the dream as a publishing assistant in London post-graduation, while Susan carries on with her medical education and Daisy continues to deal with youngsters on campus. But adult life isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be, and even after parting ways these three friends end up leaning on each other for love, support, and much needed reality checks. Oh, and the exorcism of evil fashionable women who seem hell-bent for Esther’s very soul. I will miss this series and these irrepressible girls. A funny, lovely end to this chapter in Esther, Susan, and Daisy‘s lives. I don’t know if Allison plans to write more about this great trio of ladies, but I’m here for it if he does! Favorite lines this time around: “Hold up, just let me write McGraw’s name in my hating book.†“Sorry for being a big muppet.†I’m not sure what was going on with the Cressidas at the end, but by now I’m used to John Allison’s launches into fantasy land, so I won’t lose any sleep over it. Daisy tries to prevent a year-end prank from her resident first-years. Daisy and Esther graduate. Susan, Daisy, and Esther work to figure out how their relationship works when they're not all at uni together. Not a perfect last volume but it remains sweet and leaves the readers content that these young women are headed to good places. no reviews | add a review
