Pip and Squeak, who are both mice, were headed to a friend's birthday party and on the way to the party they realized they had forgotten the gift. While heading to the party, they started looking for a new gift. The original gift was cheese and when they came across a carrot on a snowman they assumed it was a large piece of cheese and took it as their gift. The carrot happened to be the perfect gift because their friend was revealed as a rabbit in the end. I liked this book because when I first read it I thought their friend was a mouse until they arrived at the party and the illustration showed it was a rabbit. I would suggest this book for kindergarten and 1st grade. This is a good book to read when teaching about the winter season or show more when teaching about animals and the food they eat. show less
Well, it's adorable. Kind of quiet, in a way, not much to say about it except that we would have enjoyed it when my boys were tiny. Read Dolly's review.
Pip and Squeak want to get a gift for Gus. They use cheese and carrots to make a snowman. It is the perfect gift for Gus!
