29 month - picked this up on our trip home to Canada. I like to find Canadian authors when I can and this one seemed a good choice as O and Jillian are very similar... Creative and messy. :D. This has a good rhyme, is cute and funny.
This is the first in a series of five adventures with Jillian. It is about a little girl and her mother. The little girl loves to play dress up but never seems to clean up after. Her mother is always asking her to clean up but Jillian keeps giving excuses. As the story progresses, Jillian’s friends join in and play.
This story is a fantastic story to read as the word flow so well. This also makes it very easy to read. The illustrations are wonderful. The expressions on the faces are well portrayed so that even young children can recognise the different types. The colours are bright and do a wonderful job of enhancing the story. I love Jillian Jiggs and think that any library, home or public would not be complete without Jillian.
