Dorothy Dale: A Girl of Today

What a disappointment. I thought Dorothy Dale would be much more fun and adventurous. Instead it's boring and tedious, with Dorothy constantly trying to reform people. I think it must have been the first job for the ghost writer hired to write this book. She contradicts herself, leaves out information and of course, there's the boringness.

I listened to this through Librivox - the narrator was not great, so I'm tempted to actually read the book. I think it would have been a more fun story than it seemed, if the narration had been more lively. As with many books of this time period and featuring young girls as the main characters - good manners, high morals, and just a bit of liveliness are the key ingredients here.
