The twelve scientists who are profiled here are women from all sorts of backgrounds who are currently rocking science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Each of them has a different story to tell about how she got to where she is today, but the one thing they have in common is that they are truly wonder women of science. This is a wonderful book for girls and young teens who want to learn about the impact that women in science have had on the world. I was not familiar with any of the names before reading the book, so I was quite happy to learn about their wonderful accomplishments. The format of the book made the material interesting and easy to digest, as well. ( )

I enjoyed this. A nice, easy-to-follow collection of biographies. I used it for The 52 Book Club's 2022 prompt "A Character Who Works In Maths or Sciences". ( )

This book is aimed at the middle grade/YA demographic.
I really enjoyed the setup of each profiled woman: a biography, and then info about the science genre each studied. I think I would have found this interesting as a younger reader. I was unfamiliar with many of the women selected to be in the book so it was great to learn about how they have helped to inspire and change their areas of science.

In the book Wonder Women of Science you will get to meet extraordinary women who are extremely accomplished in their studies in developing ground breaking science. The book starts off by introducing award-winning aerospace engineer Tiera Fletcher and twelve other scientists and their fascinating work, their lives as children and what set them on their path in science. The author also talks about where they have succeeded as well as failed over the years with persistence, and the drive to succeed. serendipity, and brilliant insights. I would recommend this for any collection looking for more books about science and female inventors. ( )
