So writes Rousseau. His philosophy of education is compared and contrasted with many others, from Plato's Allegory of the Cave to Montessori. Though the writing can be tedious, the book is comprehensive and a good selection for teachers formulating their own approaches, as well as reviewing their current practices. It would be welcome to have the sections shortened and updated. ( ) no reviews | add a review
