Master Sergeant Zane Gannon loves nothing more than being a part of his Special Forces unit and kicking ass, but above everything, he values his friendship with Isaac. Sure, they argue and snipe at each other, but it's all in good fun. Until it isn't. Now, Isaac is pulling away and something Zane has buried for two decades is resurfacing. Staff Sergeant Isaac Thorne has loved Zane Gannon from a distance for three years, and he was doing just fine concealing this fact until the colonel decided to pair them together a year ago. Now, it's becoming increasingly difficult to hide his feelings, so he takes to avoiding Zane. So what? The man is infuriating and straight, and lately, he's acting very strange. The fire ignites between Zane and Isaac when things come to a boiling point on a mission and the locker room gets heated. Infinity takes on several new recruits. BFFs are not who they seem, and a mission goes horribly wrong when a group of homegrown terrorists rear their ugly heads. Hold onto your helmets for a bumpy ride as these two soldiers battle it out. Contains mature themes.… (more)

I debated a long time before deciding on the rating. This is Zane and Issac's story.... the story that it seems I have waited forever to read. I have had an on again off again going with this series since book 1, but I do really like Reece Knightly and several of the books in the series have really hit the mark with me...this one? Yes and no. There are way too many individual storylines going on that we don't have a real clear feeling of what is going on. Anyone that started the series with this book would probably give it up. I expected a big blow up and didn't have long to wait...both guys are dynamite fuses looking for a place to go off. One of the biggest problems I have with not only these two guys, but many of the characters in other M/M romances, as well as F/M romance books...they either don't talk to one another, or they spent 3/4 of the book being either angry or reiterating why they shouldn't be together. Come on...the book is only so long. Get it together guys. You're acting like a couple of love-sick teenagers. Overall...Reece Knightly is a fantastic author and the characters in this series will grab and hold your heart. I just wish they wouldn't take so long to grab each other's hearts. ( )
