Among Enemies is the last book in Evan Curie’s Silver Wings series. While I liked the series immensely, the author was right to end it with this book. Too many authors keep a popular series going for too long causing me to lose interest. This one ended at the right time. Sorilla, the main character, battle exploits against the Ross’ highly advanced species numerous mechanized defensive units ventured well beyond the possible and the believable. Rare for me with this author, I couldn’t wait for the Ross ship fighting to end. Sorilla’s bizarre escape attempt just got tiring to read.

Having read Evan Curie’s Odyssey One, Archangel One, and Silver Wings series, I’ve bought the first two books in the Imperium of Terra series, his latest and my next read. ( )
