This book is about a boy named Luke who has down's syndrome. through out the story Luke explains what it is like having Down's syndrome. He explains that he loves to help out his mom, but that he himself needs extra help with things such as learning words to help talk and matching letters with pictures. Luke also explains that he looks different from others, but that doesn't stop this young boy from being social. Luke has parents and brothers who love him with all their heart. They help young Luke by giving him the extra support he needs. I would read this book one on one with a student who either wants to know more about down's syndrome or to a child with down's syndrome who is wanting to learn more about what their condition is. age show more level 6 to 8 years old. show less
I think this is a great book for a child that is asking questions on what downs syndrome is. This book describes what a day looks like for a boy named Luke who has Downs Syndrome. Excellent for ages 4-6 years of age.
Luke doesn't let his down syndrome from doing the things he loves and his family doesn't neither, he has his family's full support in anything he choses to do. this would be a great read to a child curious about down syndrome or a child with down syndrome. ages 5-8
I think this book is great and how it is written in first person. The pictures are beautiful and I would reccomend reading this book to many!
