My reviews of his works are becoming somewhat cliche: This terrified me when I first read it at twelve. I went back, wondering how I'd react to his works now. I was surprised at how much I remembered. I hate to say it, but this was dull. I felt let down by my own eagerness. It's a good stepping stone to further horror novels, though. Glad I read it so I could learn how I thought of it now.
AWESOME book!! One of the best RL Stine books I've read in a long while. It wasn't scary, but the mystery was great, with twists and an ending I totally didn't expect. Often, while reading a mystery, I'm able to figure out "whodunit" fairly quickly. Throughout this book, I suspected everyone but the real killer!
Also, and this is true of every RL Stine book I've read, the description is wonderful! He knows just where to put in those extra details so you can really picture it... Although, is that a good thing when the subject is dead bodies? :)
