I love a fake-dating book and I adore a second chance romance, but this was excessive, even for me, and trust me, I've loved the worst clichés. The story started fine, with both of the main characters figuring out how to tell their parents they had broken up (gasp!) four months ago and were pretending for their sake, and the obstacles sound great, initially. After a few chapters though, it all goes downhill. Every book is supposed to be an adventure but this one belongs in a hallmark movie, and one I'd definitely like to watch and laugh, but not enough to read the book. The plot becomes infuriating after a certain point and I was all but "End it already, for god's sake!". I mean, it was adorable because of the chocolates but the Japanese investors? I agreed with Marco at all times, and even though he might not be a suitable match, he'd be a level-headed person in a relationship someday, with the right person, of course. However, if you do like a cliché, I would recommend this book, too short to dnf but sometimes becomes too aggravating. ( ) no reviews | add a review
