Not a classic. The rhymes are barely there and the illustration is lacklustre. Nevertheless, a must have for every library's board book collection, at least until something better comes along.
Excellent book that treats the sensitive issue of children who want to transition into a walrus. I have never heard of this as an issue; perhaps I live too sheltered a life.
I do think the guy who works at the zoo looks a bit like the author of the book….
The story is written in poetry reminiscent of Dr. Seuss. I am sure if he had lived long enough Dr. Seuss would have addressed this topic, but instead we can only be grateful for the story by Matt Walsh and the illustrations by K. Reece.
