An essay about humankind's future evolutional history covering millions and millions of years. A mind-boggling scope if there ever was one, and the work is even shorter than the page count would suggest, as half of those are illustrations of the bizarre human-descendants. It's... odd. Unpolished, but very intriguing.
I have no idea what I just read, no seriously, Lovecraft left me less confused than this. It's a unique and confusing experience to be sure talking about how evolution is blind, getting too caught up in your head causes genocides and weird matriarchal worm beings.
5/5 hope to read another book like this one someday.

What did I just read? It was something different, but worth it.
“To those like them; look at the story of Man, and come to your senses! It is not the destination, but the trip that matters, and what you do today influences tomorrow, not the other way around.
Love Today, and seize All Tomorrows!”

A very unique setting and storytelling style.
