European political-military affairs and history. An excellent background of the past 150 years of this part of Europe showing how the area arrived at its disfunctional borders. This is a remarkable book explaining the Holy Roman Empire, beginning of the Hapsburg Empire, taking the story to 1996, when the countries came out of their Communist years. Truly an outstanding effort.
