Description

Christmas is the perfect season for Clark Griswold and his family. Clark's a disaster waiting to happen. You have to see it to believe it. There are 25,000 lights on the Griswold rooftop. An exploding turkey. And a house full of relatives.

Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) must have the best and most decorative house on the block when his parents and his wife's (Beverly D'Angelo) parents come for the Christmas visit, but this doesn't come without many hitches.

This was a funny Christmas film, but it had way too much vulgarity and inappropriate content. It used God's name in vain at least 3-4 times and had many uses of vulgarity. It's too bad the producers felt the need to insert this level of profane content into a holiday movie. I would not recommend because of the above mentioned items.

The jokes never quite hit, and they don't feel as organic as they did in the first installment.
This movie is best watched by playing the DVD or VHS at home. It loses a lot on the TV version. Aptly portrays the stress of having a whole family at one''s house for the holidays while giving the best laughs of the season at the same time.

A film starring Chevy Chase (Warner Bros., 1989).

An asshole hosts his extended family for Christmas.

C (Indifferent).

It's somewhat watchable, which I guess is pretty good for a Chevy Chase movie? I don't understand this franchise.

Excellent Christmas entertainment! This has been a tradition during Christmas for many years. It is extremely funny!
