This book was quite educational. Every page had facts about pennies and I leaned a lot. ( )

One day John and his friend Joey were riding their bikes when John suddenly found a penny. He claimed it and put it in his pocket. In his pocket were other objects that he had found and kept as well yet these treasures were mean to Penny and said she was useless. This made Penny question how important she was until John and Joey used her for a coin toss. The other tresures couldn't believe it and she now knew she was worth something.
USE: I would love to use this book to talk about comparisons and to teach children about the importance of a penny. As PEnny was reminiscing of memories she made the book stated many important facts about the penny. This will allow the readers or my students to be entertained by the fantasy but also learn the historical facts.

the author showed us that even if you think you are forgotten and worthless that to someone you are important to them. it also gives a history lesson throughout the story by giving detail about the penny. this is good book to read with your students over expressions as well.
