Description

I'd been Prom Queen, Cheer Captain - high school's most savage Queen Bee. I could have everything I wanted. Except them. The freaks, the weirdos, the school's ultimate losers: Manson, Jason, Lucas, and Vincent. Our hatred for each other couldn't keep us apart, not even when my own mistake got Manson expelled and made me the ultimate villain to the rest of them. One night was supposed to be enough. I couldn't resist forever. For one night I gave myself over to the men I wasn't supposed to show more want and satisfied the darkest parts of my soul. But some things are meant to stay in the dark. One night, and it was over. Now, with college behind me, our worlds collide yet again. Four men, all willing to share me as their plaything until my debt to them is paid. Another game to satiate my dark cravings, the twisted rules of which bring us all even closer than before. But games aren't meant to last. When the debt is paid and the game is done, what if I don't want to walk away? show less

This was recommended after a social media post that looked interesting. I had just read another RH/WC mafia based one that I loved to death and thought that this looking interesting but, as someone that left HS almost 30 years ago I wasn't sure I'd like it. But the line I read had my move it right to the top of my TBR and get into it and fuck I'm glad I did.

My favorite trope, a sunshine character. The absolute sunshineist sunshine character is Vincent. I loved him but now I love all of them. The town is so... 1990s? Like I remember how it was when being a non-straight kid felt at that time, it triggered some pretty nasty feelings as I read it and while maybe cliche I fell into it.

Sometimes I want to just be able to hate a bunch of show more ignorant fuckheads and man this book gives me that and some nice smutty scenes and a little bit of character development.

I really enjoyed this, I immediately bought the second.

Holy fuck. I did not think that a dark romance could make me laugh and smile as much as this book has. I was eating this up!
For some reason I didn’t read the prequel first?? Anyway I really loved this! Honestly I wasn’t really feeling everyone together until the very end. I still think Jess is super boring and I still get some of her menz confused but I love the story!
There was the person I was before I read this book and the person I am after reading it. This book re-calibrated my brain and I mean that in a good way. I had no idea where the story was going to go after reading the novella "The Dare" but I didn't think it would go like this. It was an interesting read and I learned some things about myself lol. I will be reading the next book. I am very curious to see how all this concludes.
DNFed after reading this:
"I wasn't built for it anyway; I was just a skinny stoner with a fried egg for a brain."
If the author cannot write about insecurities without insulting her own MFC then I'm out.
Not giving any stars because I feel it wiuld br unfair. This book has a giant list of trigger warnings and it's not necessarily bad because it obviously hit one of mine.
4.25 ⭐️ but rounded up to 5 ⭐️ because I love anything Harley writes:) Such a good message about choosing to be who you truly are, while also getting lotssss of romance! 6
