Pretty good. This one had significant amounts of the hero's POV which is not normal for HPs written in the 1980s. The characters could have been slightly better fleshed out. For example she had a masters in some sort of marine biology but was working as a nightclub singer. It did say that jobs in marine biology were hard to come by but there was not discussion of why then she choose to sing. If her voice was so wonderful, had she had training? Had she never considered going that route on purpose? Did she love music? What? So those sorts of things were missing. He didn't like or trust women because of how his mother had been but other than that we don't know much about him other than he was pretty flowery spoken when it came to her.

Kind show more of a melodramatic feeling and the kind of melodrama that appeals to young girls. But at least he came to the realization that she was not a 'ho without proof via hymen. So that's good.

A decent read but not a keeper.
