I am enjoying this series set in and around Pinecraft, Florida. This was a nice middle book for the series. Betsy takes center stage now, but the other girls are there, too, and we meet a few more people. August is having trouble with his parents half a world away who wish he was with them, but he doesn't have the calling to be a missionary. I wasn't aware that the Amish had missionaries, so this was a first for me. Fortunately, he decides to stay in Florida, and his aunt and uncle will be able to retire and leave the running of the golf course up to him. Now for the the third book in the series. ( )

Good story that shows that even with a disability you can achieve anything. Betsy is a great character who has a list she is determined to do. With the help of friends we finds her way to grow in faith. I loved how she wanted to play golf and nothing was going to stop her. It was fun being back in Pinecraft.

The sweet romance between Betsy and a certain young man has many obstacles to overcome. It was interesting to see how Betsy’s parents are so protective of her. When she had a medical emergency they rush to her side. They are determined to bring her home and keep her from being able to be independent. Betsy’s growth was very well written and illustrates how keeping faith and confidence in yourself will help you overcome anything.

What an exceptional book! I loved everything about it! The setting of Pinecraft, Florida is picturesque and beautiful! The story is heartwarming! Betsy is a fantastic character! She has a life list. She wants to accomplish certain things in life and she's very determined to cross items off the list. She meets August! August is extraordinary! He's nice, compassionate, helpful and a devoted family man. Their love story is sweet and romantic! The other characters are fabulous-each great in their own way!
A definite must read!

Being back in Pinecraft, Florida is such a treat! Her Only Wish is the second novel in the A Season in Pinecraft series and it is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. The characters are so bright and magnetic, the setting is dreamy, and the overall vibe is easy to get lost in.

Sweet Betsy is the focus of this story, which I was excited about as she was one of my favorite characters from the first novel. Betsy has a life list and she is bound and determined to achieve as many goals as she can and not let her disability hinder her. With the help of some new friends as well as her own determination, she embarks on a journey that leads to a life she could’ve never imagined.

I love how Betsy’s life list not only inspired change in her own life, but also affected everyone that she surrounds herself with too. Seeing the ripple effect of positivity and seeing this from a different perspective is something to be admired, and something we need in our world right now. Watching all of the relationships grow and blossom is great, but the parts with Danielle, Annie, and Betsy were some of my favorites, most likely due to the sister dynamic and my love of swimming. I also loved all the golf talk, since that is something my husband and I are into. The selfishness of Austin’s missionary parents is astounding. Neither can see themselves and accuse poor Austin of the very thing they are doing. This part tore at my heart so much, as Austin is such an amazing guy and doesn’t deserve to get treated like this by his parents.

I felt like I was curled up in a sun-warmed blanket when I read this novel. There is tension, but really only coming from Austin’s nearsighted parents. Otherwise it was a very uplifting and positive reading experience that has me thinking of my own “life list.” I love this series so much!

*I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the publisher through NetGalley. All views and opinions expressed are completely honest, and my own. ( )

Second book in author's new series. Readers are returned to Pinecraft, and this time they get the sweet tale of Betsy and her Amish friends in Pinecraft.
