Drawing on his missionary experience in the Philippines, the author links together social and environmental problems facing the Third World and looks at these problems in the light of the Hebrew and Christian scriptures and the tradition of the churches.
A follow on to "To Care for the Earth" by the same author, this book unpacks some of the theological and pastoral implications of that appeal. It tackles issues of key topical interest - the destruction of the rainforest, the crisis of over-population, international debt from a first hand perspective and reveals how and why Christians in particular must involve themselves in dealing with this crisis.
