Sammy accidentally makes a deadly mistake, but all clues point to her nemesis Heather. As Sammy struggles with her conscience, she helps an ailing senior citizen in her fight against urban renewal. Sammy's also dealing with her feelings for Casey, Heather's brother, who she's attending the Farewell Dance with on a "non-date."
Sammy Keyes was good ol' Sammy Keyes. Nosey, funny, brave, and full of early teen angst. The last book involved underground dog fighting that I thought was a little too detailed and disturbing for the intended audience, but this was more in line with the others. Good read.
Enjoyable middle grade series. Sammy is a delightful character!
