Excellently educational about lots of the life of the US southwest & region. Includes back matter. But doesn't mention that they're invasive, bad for farmers, and dangerous to travelers. Still, a good book for the littles who should be learning about javelinas, burrowing owls, yellow sulphur butterflies, etc.
Beautifully illustrated story about the life cycle of tumbleweed plants, accessible for young readers.
Super simple rhyming text (usually just two words per page) effectively conveys the surprising life cycle of a tumbleweed. A final page includes "Fun Facts About Tumbleweeds" and a small life cycle diagram (seed falls, plant grows, flower blooms, plant dries).
