Hildegarde Withers, that interfering and nosy old biddy is at it again. This time she involves herself in a case where the body of a rich and insufferable inhabitant of Long Island is found dead in his swimming pool.At first it is thought an accident, but there are a good many people around who want him dead.
Miss Withers receives a summons to help clear the name of one of the suspects and she begins her meddling once more.At one point she makes a dreadful error of judgement and nearly becomes a victim herself.
Great fun, only slightly spoiled by a rather obvious killer.
