Electricity is explained in Switch On, Switch Off. I thought this book did a great job of explaining this modern day commodity. It even included a mini-experiment for children to do with their parents! The explanation of how electricity is generated and gets to and from places was really easy to follow. The book did a great job of covering every aspect from switches to light bulbs and even the circuitry.
Switch On, Switch Off is all about electricity and how it works, how it is used, and how it is produced. At the end of the book they have activities for kids to generate electricity by themselves. This book shows simples wiring that runs through a house so that kids can really see what is going on when electricity is working. I even learned more about electricity because this book was so fun and knowledgeable!
This book starts out as the young boy in the story turns his light on and off and wonders how that happens. The story goes on to talk about the different forms of energy and how it is shown as well as different things it can operate. This book also shows an experiment that students can do that shows the flow of electricity in an at home experiment. This is a great way to get students involved and engaged in the material.
This book discusses electricity and how we get it. It shows you all the different processes we use to create energy. This is a great read if you are introducing the topic of electricity to your students.
A simple introduction to how electrical circuits work.
