This mammoth right-wing polemic… slips in enough genuine insight to make it intriguing.… Ward, a retired admiral, has been a Council on Foreign Relations member for the last sixteen years; though clearly disgruntled by the advent of computerized Schlesinger-Kissinger types and full of Russophobia, he is more knowledgeable than the ordinary mossback.
