The Hades Project

I enjoyed this book, the third novel in the series of books about main character Cotten Stone. Although by now you would think the authors would be getting used to their characters and the characterization of same, there seems to be a slightly stilted and somewhat awkward way in which they have some of the drama and some of the dialogue occur in the book. When this occurs in a book, it always reminds me of a new writer, although Ms. Sholes and Mr. Moore are both seasoned veterans of writing, the book is interesting and moves along at a brisk pace. I initially thought the book might be written by some sort of conservative christian author along the lines of Frank Peretti's novels, (not that I am making any sort of judgment about Mr. show more Peretti) which although interesting have a weird religious zeal spin to them that gets a little tiresome after a while. Anyway this novel did not seem to smack of trying to enlighten the unenlightened to the wisdom of Christianity. I do enjoy books with a moderate amount of religious history to them, without being the Da Vinci Code Two. So in summation, good book, interesting story, fascinating amounts of historical fiction. show less
