This book follows A Gentle Calling in the series. it focuses on a real person named Rowland Hill who was a preacher. It sets up a false choice for the girl between Hill and a decadent man; I like real choices better but here there is no doubt. Lady Huntington remains dull and another inspirational guy is even duller in his pedantic religiosity.
