It may be my own fault that I didn't think this book hung together as well as it could have - I read it in a whole bunch of ten-minute chunks whenever I had a spare moment. This installment's family is the Flanagans, the father of which owns a cement-mixing company. The Flanagan shenanigans are not particularly intuitive to me, but maybe it's just a commentary on the endless variety of human affairs. The shadowy Pianone family, always part of the backdrop, seem to be making more of a push to the front and center, although the connection between the Flanagans and Pianones seems to run more or less through the Looneys, a scion of which makes his first appearance to my knowledge in this book.

The solution to the puzzle was a complete show more surprise to me, probably for no good reason other than lack of concentration, but everything was wrapped up neatly. Have families always had front and center in Fox River? I think they might. show less

This series was pretty good. I think more books from this author would be worth reading.
