This book is based on the presentations at the 2002 symposium of the same name. The topics cover some of the technology and human factors involved in space flight and exploration. The look is fairly high level and easily understandable. You can skim over what little math there is. There are literally thousands of considerations involved in choosing the technology, people, etc. to use in any long range space exploration and this gives you an idea of some of them.
