This is one of my all time favorite Hannah Howell novels. I adore the setting and the premise, but what makes the book for me is the heroine. Storm Eldon is witty and quick, with an inner core of strength I admire. I kind of want to be her when I grow up.
Tavis MacLagen, her hero, can be kind of a whiny bitch sometimes, but Storm, his family and hers, and all the other characters, more than make up for this.

His Bonnie Bride is a good book but not an easy, fun read for me. I don't like the forced seduction of the heroine and how the hero is so stupid he lets her go. It was well written and I loved the secondary characters.
Storm and Tavis have an interesting relationship through this book. It was facinating to watch it develop. My favorite part in this book is when Storm explains to her father that women can feel desire and passion the same way men do. That they can also miss it when the man isn't there.
The only reason I didn't give the book a full 5 stars is a scene between Storm and Tavis's brother. (I'm not saying more about it. That will spoil things.) Still, I highly recommend this book. It was an excellent read.
